“Ways of Something” Screening at the Carnegie Museum of Art

Join CMOA and VIA for a night of mashed up fun, with the Pittsburgh premiere of “Ways of Something,” a film remix by Canadian director Lorna Mills for the Internet age featuring work by 100+ digital artists. Swap faces with in-gallery portraits and jam to guilty pleasure songs by local bands Derider, Good Dude LoJack, Jacquea Mae, David Edmunds, and Dubravka Bencic. Mix it up.

Popcorn? Check. Drinks? Check. Sit back and take an epic trip through this remake of John Berger’s famous documentary Ways of Seeing (1972). These 1-minute videos created by 125 emerging and key figures in the Net.Art movement feature original animated GIFs, film remix, 3D animation, and web-based performances to describe how we look at art after the Internet.
