My friend Jennifer Chan is hosting a fundraising event for her upcoming issue of DPI magazine with Studio XX in Montréal. She asked me to submit a .gif for her all-night .gif projections and I am really happy to participate in this, it’s got a great lineup and looks like a phenomenal time!

I had a last minute opportunity last week to create a new video work to be screened at Montreal Fetish Week (Sat. Sept. 3, 2011). This is a live set from the Vinyl Interventions Trio: Esther Bourdages, Marinko Jareb, and Carrie Gates. Live at Ecube, Montréal, this album documents the six-turntable cut-up that flipped it squiggly-style for a very live crowd. Using homemade microphones, sliced + diced records, kiddy turntables, oddity vinyl classics all switched up, this was also a very visual and performative event.
Spine-tingling psychoacoustics, glitches that open abysmal dungeons, and absurd cross-cultural collaborations comprised the very special night of audiovisual immersion known as Digidome.
